If you have owned a VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda since 2008 equipped with one of the diesel engines from the 2.0 TDI Common Rail family, it is very likely that at some point you will encounter error P2015 informing you of faulty operation of the intake manifold flaps. If the Check Engine light comes on indicating that the engine is malfunctioning and the error code is P2015 or 008213 or 18447, then the cause of the fault is most likely a worn or damaged plastic stop on the axle passing through the engine intake manifold.

What to do? Firstly - don't panic!
Do not replace the entire intake manifold (cost around 500 EUR). Usually, the whole manifold is in working order and only the plastic stop passing through its axis is damaged.
Check the type of intake manifold
There were two types of intake manifold on the 2.0 TDI Common Rail family of engines - a plastic one with OE number 03L129711AG and an aluminium one with OE number 03L129711E. Depending on the type of manifold, you will be able to select the correct repair component.
Order a repair detail that solves the problem
The aluminium repair detail, which you can order from our shop, completely replaces the worn-out factory plastic restrictor and will probably solve the problem of malfunctioning manifold flaps.
